Maths Riddles.

Task Description: Today in the afternoon I felt like doing one more task for today so I did what was maths but it was maths riddles. While, I was doing this task I knew that I was doing wrong and right because on the last page in this task it was a bit hard but I still got it. Finally, I had time to post about it.

  1. Kia ora Catherine,

Simon here again from the Summer Learning Journey team. Awesome work on finishing another Summer Learning Journey task. Ka pai!

These are some tricky maths questions! I had trouble when I first saw them. I like how you worked out the question with the 3×3 grid, but there are a few more squares in there. It would be great to see if you can spot them. I’ll give you a clue, there is one BIG square and some squares that are 2×2. The trickiest question of them all is the bricks vs feathers. It took me while to work it out, but they both weigh a tonne so neither of them are heavier. There will just be a lot more feathers than there are bricks because bricks are denser.

Is maths one of your favourite subjects at school? You have some really good working out for these questions. I really love maths, especially these questions that are riddles. They give my brain a good workout.

I can’t wait to see what activity you choose next.

    Ngā mihi,
    Simon (SLJ)
