Walking to Tamaki, my fellow Year 7 classmates and I were excited for our first day of tech class for the term. We followed our teacher, clutching our Chromebooks. As we walked, the delicious smell of butter chicken filled the air.
As we approached our classroom, our new teacher, Mr. Moholtra, introduced himself and explained what we would be learning this term. The first thing he had us do was create a name tag for our desks. This would help him remember our names. Next, we created a new folder in our Google Drive for our STEM class. We’d use this folder to save pictures and other fun things we did in class.
After we finished that, we got to do an epic word search. But it wasn’t just any old word search—it was all about microscopes! It was challenging but so much fun for my friends and me.
For our final activity, we read a story about two boys acting silly in STEM class. We had to circle or underline the things that were not allowed in the classroom. It was such an amazing day, and I wish the fun never ended.
