Measuring Weight/Mass in Grams and Kilograms

Task Description: This week in room two for maths we have been learning all about measuring weight/mass in grams and kilograms. Doing this task was so much fun especially because me and Tiare finished this SO fast. News Channel/ Radio Music Research

Task Description: This term in extension, we have been learning all about news broadcast music. We started by diving into why music is used in news broadcasts. We even listened to different news broadcasts from various countries, with each country featuring a unique musical style. Next, we identified the types of instruments we heard in the different music pieces. Then we watched “Kea Kids News,” a broadcast specifically for children. It gives kids the opportunity to learn about current world events. Finally, we used Google Slides to brainstorm instruments we could use in segments for PENN (Pt England News Network). This task was so much fun, especially since we get to create our news music on GarageBand! Here’s an example of what our music for PENN sounds like. Remember to leave a positive comment on my blog. Gravitational Force ( Extension Project )

Task Description: This term for inquiry we have been learning all about space, ”Beyond the Sky”. In Extension we have been researching all about gravitational force and ways it can affect us in life. To begin this project you would have to find a partner to work with. My partner was Emzjull. To start this project we had to first find a movie and video that shows G-Force. Then after doing that we had to then find a text and a news article that shows G-Force as well. To read our text and news article you would have to click on the link that says TEXT and NEWS ARTICLE. Whakatauki (Extension)

Task Description: This morning in extension we got to use adobe express to generate images that we were going to use for our whakatauki. A whakatauki is like a quote that shows thoughts and feelings. The whakatauki that I chose online was ”Be strong, Be courageous, Be brave, Kia Kaha, kia māia, kia Manawatu”. After choosing my whakatauki I then had to create a goggle slides of a brainstorm about my whakatauki. When I finally finished my brain storming I then had to go onto adobe express and generate the images that I needed for my whakatauki. This part was really hard to do because every time I generated an image it always appeared with pictures I wasn’t expecting. On pages 3 – 5 I tried three times to see if my generated images would turn out great but it didn’t really. Even though the images didn’t look so perfect I still used them. One of the best images that I chose was my third one because it looked the most related. I hope that you all enjoy checking out my whakatauki presentation. Seaside Maths Quest ( Kick Start )

Task Description: This morning I was doing the summer learning journey. The summer learning journey task I was doing was called the seaside Maths Quest. For this task we got to go on a big shape and pattern scavenger hunt. To start the scavenger hunt we had to make a copy of the goggle slides that would have all of the questions that we have to answer. This task was very fun to do. Totally Awesome Sea Turtles ( Step it up )

Task Description: This afternoon I was feeling like doing the summer learning journey. This summer learning journey task was based on sea turtles and ways we can help them in the ocean. For this task we had to create a presentation using goggle slides about sea turtles and what is happening to them today and ways we can help. Shell – embration ( Step it up )

Task Description: This afternoon for the summer learning journey we have been learning all about shells. For this task we had to create a museum all about shells using goggle slides and goggle maps. Postcards from the sea ( Step it up )

Task Description: This afternoon I was wanting to finish off the postcards from the sea step it up task. For this task we had to create an animation using goggle slides. The animation had to show what we see under the sea of hauraki gulf. After creating the animation we had to record a video of it. At that point when I tried to put my video onto my blog it said that I couldn’t. I am so sorry that I cannot show my video but i’m going to post the slide show of my animation and the postcard. Sea Creature Poem ( Step it up )

Task Description: This afternoon I was wanting to finish off my sea creature poem step it up. For this task we had to create a poem about a sea creature using goggle drawing. After doing that we had to go onto goggle slides and add pictures of our sea creatures on each slide. When we were finished doing all of that we had to go onto screen cast and record ourselves reading the poem while going through the slides. This task was pretty fun to do because I learnt so many new things about starfish. I actually finished this task but sadly when I tried to put my screen cast onto my blog it said that I couldn’t. I am so sorry that you all can’t see my video but i’m going to show you all my poem and my slide show. Maybe at home you all can read my poem as you go through my slide show. 

Among Us sea safari ( Step it up )

Task Description: This afternoon I was wanting to finish off the summer learning journey activity for the day. This activity was called among us sea safari step it up. For this task we had to create a game of among us using google slides. Before making the game we had to choose one sea creature that we would want to learn all about. We had to research ten questions about that sea creature for the game. Creating this game was so much fun. I also learnt so much about my sea creature. I discovered three interesting things about blue whales. I learnt that a blue whale’s heart is big as a car and that a blue whale has the biggest eye ball out of all of the other whales. Lastly blue whales are the biggest animals in the world.
