Task Description: This afternoon for the summer learning journey we have been learning all about shells. For this task we had to create a museum all about shells using goggle slides and goggle maps. Doing this task was very fun and pretty hard to do. I learnt so many new things about these shells that I chose. I hope that you all enjoy checking out my shell museum. Remember to leave a positive comment on my blog, thank you.
Kia ora Catherine,
It’s Mrs Stone from the Summer Learning Journey.
You have done so well with this activity! You have clearly displayed the name of the shell, an image, fun fact and even a place to find it on the map. This is excellent!
I like that you picked paua as the first shell in your museum. This is such an iconic shell in New Zealand. It’s really widely known and appreciated – seen in jewellery like you point out in your fun fact. You ensured all of your shells could be found in NZ as well.
Did you know the Ataata or Pūpū is also known as a cats eye shell? On its side is a circular pattern, perhaps it looks a bit like an eye.
Keep up the fantastic blogging,
Mrs Stone

Wow you did an amazing job of your shell museum and taught me a thing or two – fascinating.
You are right this step it up challenge was a tricky one but clearly one you rose to.
Enjoy the rest of your summer learning journey.
