Task Description: This week for inquiry we have been learning and researching all about uranus and neptune. For this task we had to create trading cards all about uranus and neptune. To begin this task we had to make a copy of a google drawing template to create our trading cards. The trading card had many questions like, ”What’s uranus and neptunes distance from the Sun?” or ”Is humans able to live on uranus and neptune?” What we had to do was answer these questions. Jupiter & Saturn ( Inquiry )
Task Description: This week for inquiry we have been learning all about Jupiter and Saturn. For this task we had to create a fact poster about Jupiter and Saturn. To begin this task we had to choose either google Slides, Canva or Google drawing to create our fact poster. The app that I chose to create my fact poster was canva. After we had chosen what app we were going to use we had to begin researching facts about jupiter and Saturn. To create the poster we had to add our facts onto our poster and an image of what planet we were talking about. Mercury & Venus ( Week 2 Inquiry)
Task Description: This week for inquiry we have been researching and learning all about Mercury and Venus. For this task we had to be paired with a partner, to research Mercury and Venus. Classroom @ KPMG
Task Description: This morning in extension we have been researching all about KPMG. Before beginning this task Yi Yi, Emzjull and I wanted to all be in a group so that we can all work together. For this task we had to find out many things about KPMG because we were going to visit them in a couple of weeks. To start this task we had to first figure out what there logo looks like. Then we had to find out what does KPMG stand for and when was the company, KPMG, founded. After answering and researching all of the answers we then had to find out Why do we go and spend time at KPMG. This question was quite confusing because I never really knew why we spend time there, but since I now know what they do and how they help us with our education. Language features – Poem ( Writing )
Task Description: This week for writing we have been learning how to use language features to describe a place. For this writing task we had to first think about a place you love ANYWHERE in the world. Then we had to write a poem describing the place that we chose. BUT here’s a twist I wasn’t allowed to say the name of my favourite place. I had to describe what I would see when I looked around. The Solar System & The Sun ( Inquiry Video)
Task Description: This week and last week for inquiry we have been learning all about the solar system and the sun. For this inquiry task we had to find out 10 interesting facts about the Solar System and the Sun. I really enjoyed doing this part especially finding out very cool things that I never knew that were in our solar system. After writing all of our facts we had to go onto Google Vids and record ourselves presenting all of our interesting facts. Whakatauki ( Extension Project )
Task Description: This term for extension we have been learning what Whakatauki is and what they are. A Whakatauki is a Maori proverb and it is also a sentence that has a meaning in it. To begin this extension project we had to choose a whakatauki. My Whakatauki that I choose reads ( Be strong, Be courageous, Be brave) In Maori it reads ( Kia Kaha , Kia maia, Kia manawatu). After we have finished choosing our whakatauki we had to create an animation showing what our whakatauki means and how it can relate to others in the world. Then when you have finished doing that you would have to create a script showcasing what is happening in your animation. Doing this project was so much fun because I learnt so many things. For example I learnt what whakatauki means and what they are. What was hard about this project was figuring out how my whakatauki can relate to others in the world. Te Whare Tapa Wha
Task Description: This term for inquiry we have been focusing on how we can use Te Whare Tapa Wha to understand and improve our overall well-being. This term we have been learning all about the Te Whare Tapa Wha Model. This model helps us understand the four key areas that keep us strong and balanced in life. These are Taha Tinana (Physical Wellbeing) Taha Hinengaro (Mental & Emotional Wellbeing) Taha Wairua (Spiritual Well-Being) Taha Whānau (Social Wellbeing). Looking after all four dimensions of Te Whare Tapa Whā helps me live a balanced and happy life. Have you ever wanted to go on a vacation where the weather is perfect and the sun is shining down on the beautiful ocean? Well here’s a beach called the sunshade beach where you can find happiness and delight. Jump into the crystal clear ocean and sit in the shade spots under the high palm trees. As I enjoyed every moment on this gorgeous beach and the heartbeat of this island, I’m going to remember every single detail and moment.

Creating images (Cybersmart)
Task Description: This afternoon in room two we were doing cybersmart. For this cybersmart activity we were having to create images.
