Extension Drones) 2023

This term in extension we have been learning all about drones. In extension we had to create two projects of us defining our problem and thinking of a way to fix it by trying to ideate. Before I had to create my project I had to think of a problem that drones can help with. My problem that I had to fix was that a hospitable worker has to send medicine to their patience even if they’re tired or if they’re just too lazy to do it. To help me identify this problem, I was wanting Eve to help because we were both thought about the same idea. How we identified this problem was by using drones to send medicine to their patients so that they don’t need to waste there time getting up and sending medicine.

After we finished defining and ideating our problem we had to get into scratch and start turning our problem into  a scratch project showing us how we want to look like. In this project we had to create our problem coming to life so that Mrs Burton (our Extension teacher) can see our problem we chose so that she can mark our rubric and we can get 20 out of 20. My favourite thing about this scratch project was when I got to code, because in term 1 I was really bad at coding. Now i’m very good at coding like look at my project I did. If  you all are wondering what scratch is, scratch is an online app where you can create games or cool projects at your school like me.

For my final extension project what I had to do was a design on tinkercad or photopea of what my scratch project looked like.  My choice was tinkercad because it would be faster to do and it would be easier to do. In tinkercad I had to design a drone that had some medicine on top of it that was going to be sent to a hospital patient. As I was doing this project I thought that it was really easy to do because I just had to search up what I needed. Then I had to just drag it in then size what I wanted it to look, then there you go here’s how it turned out. The only thing I needed to hold my medcine was a contaner that was screwed into the drone. Remember to leave a positive comment on my blog, thank you.

Creative space project) Team 4 outdoor area 2023

Task Description: This term in creative space we have been designing our team four outdoor area. In team four we have been thinking of what things we needed in our outdoors like picnic tables and benches even other things you can think of. For this scratch project I had to think of one thing that we needed for our team four outdoor area. My object I chose for our outdoor area was a picnic table because I think that sometimes when team four needs somewhere to eat, sit, talk, work, and even to just have a rest we can have that by having picnic tables. To show this I created a scratch project showing what my picnic table will need and what was my problem to help ideate it. While doing this project I thought that it was really cool because I got to code all by myself  and it was also really easy to code and do. I hope you all like my creative space scratch project. Remember to leave a positive comment on my blog, thank you.

Dear Sophia

Or Malo e lelei it’s me Catherine I was just wanting to say a massive thank you to you for being the best swimming coach ever. I also wanted to say thank you for teaching me and my group how to float on our backs and on our stomach. The only hard thing for me was to try to swim without touching the floor, but as you taught me I got better and better even though I couldn’t hold it for at least one to two minutes without dying with no breath.

My highlight at swimming lessons was learning how to swim all the way to the end without touching the floor which was really easy to do. The other highlight I loved was swimming under the water to get the little stick man and getting back out of the water. The only thing I didn’t like was the boys not listening to you Sophia, I am very sorry for that. I hope you have a lovely day Sophia and God Bless YOU. 🙂

sincerely,

Catherine
