During the holidays my parents were planning to take me and my siblings to America. When I found out that we were going there I was super happy because all over youtube and maybe tik tok, I see a lot of cool things that you could buy like drinks, foods and even clothes. By the next day at around five in the morning I woke up and saw my Dad trying to wake me up to brush my teeth and wash my face. Suddenly when I just got up I then saw my Mum packing all my clothes and my siblings were already in the car waiting for me. Like I was so confused that they were waiting for me, because I am always the first sibling to be ready first but I guess I lost again, even to a seven year old. By the time my Mum and Dad were ready I jumped into the car and we then left at around five thirty because our flight was going to leave at six o’clock. After around ten or twenty minutes we finally made it to the airport and had just a little snack, my snack I chose was takis because they were just really yummy. At around six fifteen we had to board onto the plane. I didn’t really know how long the flight was because I was watching the movie ‘’train to busan’’. Then I fell asleep for almost the whole entire flight then woke up when we had to get off the plane, and it made me really scared because my Mum and Dad were going to leave but they then stopped walking because I knew that they would lose me and I would have to look for them.
When I finally catched up to my parents they told me that I would have to go say hello to my uncle because we were going to be staying with them for the weekend. I was really happy to see my cousins because they once came to New Zealand to have a look at what it looked like, and they thought it looked amazing because they said it was really green because of all the mountains and trees. The next day at around seven o’clock my Dad woke me up telling me that we were going to a shop called costco to eat burgers and fries with even hot dogs. AT first I was quite confused because I just woke up and I have never in my life been to an American shop before, but I was still really excited.
When all my cousins and family were ready we went straight to the shop and sighed in and brought some things like bread, milk and eggs for the other days. My favourite part about that day was when I got to spend time with my cousins and my family, it was very fun. On the other days I was having a lot of fun because I went to watch movies and meet others of my family that I have never met before, but at the end of the day before going back to our home land we went to the beach it was really nice but hot, I didn’t really like I hotness because I felt like a hot tomato that was going to blow up.
