Solids: What is a solid.

Task Description: This term at Pt England school we are learning all about solids to a liquid and liquids to a gas. For this task my teacher miss Parrant and she wanted us to create a slummy green slob and that was ob ilk. Ob ilk is a slummy thing that can turn into a liquid to a solid. for this experiment we had to use a lot of measuring cups and spoons, with also a bowl or jar. Journal word find

Task Description: This week in room 10 we had been doing a reading task. For this task we had to read our book. Then we had to choose a task and, the task I wanted to try was the journal word find. While I was doing this task I thought that it was going to be easy but then, when I had to write clues I could’ve even found my own words!! Creating bubbles

  Start writing here: This term with Mr Vogt we have been creating bubbles that were purple. For our first step we had to add water into a jar. Then add some liquid lo-shin into the jar too. Next we have to add one drop of  blue and red food colouring into the jar. after that you will have to stir it up and there are your free bubbles. Vanilla Ice Cream

Task Description: This week in room 10 we had been learning all about ICE CREAM. For this task we had to make ice cream by using different materials to create a vanilla ice cream. After that I then had to write instructions to make ice cream. If you would like to see our class jam board then here you go  jam board Remember to leave a positive comment on my blog, thank you. 

Ingredients ½ cup cream
1 tablespoon sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla
½ cup salt
4 cups ice cubes
Equipment Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
1 x medium sized snap lock
1 x large sized snap lock bag
Instructions
  1. Open up the medium sized snap lock bag and add in 1/2 cup cream
  2. Then add 1 tablespoon of sugar
  3. After that add half a teaspoon of vanilla.
  4. Next you will then seal your medium bag up.
  5. When you are finished take your big bag and open it up ready 
  6. Tip 4 cups of ice into the big bag. 
  7. While doing that add half a cup of salt onto the ice.
  8. Finally place your small bag into the big bag, then start shaking your bags for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Then you can try and eat your ice cream to see how it turned out.
